Lewis Gibbs in the Great War

All my information on Joseph Walter Cove, who wrote as Lewis Gibbs, so far comes from Steve Holland’s Bear Alley website; my thanks to John Clute for pointing me in that direction. Steve Holland says that Cove/Gibbs, who was a teacher, volunteered in January 1917 and served as duty gunner and gas instructor with the Royal Field Artillery.
